About Us

The name Messiah, meaning Chosen Ones, perfectly reflects what is offered from our community interest company (CIC).

 

Messiah 07 started in 2007, not in the way most CICs start, but through a mother’s love and the loss of a son named Messiah. Overcoming that moment led to the creation of Messiah 07, from a belief that any negative can become a positive depending on how you perceive a chapter in life.


Around this time, celebrations of culture, religion, gender, talents and abilities were formed, which created some beautiful parts of our society. However, there are many missing pieces to the puzzle lost in today’s world, a portion we believe could be filled through mentoring and workshops.

Aim and Execution

Our services, workshops and clubs aim to reduce isolation, depression, identity issues, self-harm, bullying, school exclusions, knife crime, and mental health issues within the community. Our services are designed to build an understanding towards individual’s needs and identify their natural talents, assisting them to grow and change.

 

Messiah 07 development managers design bespoke workshops and mentoring programmes that will assist the needs of and strengthen individuals, identifying skills that will enhance their confidence, capabilities, trust, respect, resilience, commitment, communication and responsibility.

 

Our teams focus on and support the development of the young and the vulnerable, by providing tools to equip them to become better members within their communities and society and opportunities to volunteer and work experience.

Workshops and Programmes

Our workshops and mentoring programmes are designed as weekly sessions and holiday programmes with certificates of attendance and achievements at the end. These workshops and mentoring programmes range from the fields of arts, media and fashion, through to medical, sports and IT to name a few, and are facilitated through the contribution of those in these professional fields and volunteers.


Messiah 07 also host an annual event designed to bring members of communities together to form a day of celebrations, talents, culture, art and abilities for all ages.
